Our Verdict

We were super excited to be invited to visit Manchesters amazing Chill Factore Snow Park and what a great weekend to visit!! Possibly the warmest weekend so far with the sunblazing in the sky, it was great to get inside the snow Park and cool down.

Checking in was super easy using the self check in machines and the staff were very helpful in getting us all kitted out for the freezing temeperatures inside the snow park.  There was plenty of room for changing and ample lockers to keep your belongings safe.

We were briefed by a very charming charismatic member of staff who kept the children entertained whilst all the time making sure they were listening careful to the safety advice prior to entering the snow park.

The clothing and equipment provided kept us super snug and cosy once inside the snow park and thats where the awesome fun began.  With a choice of sledging, sliding, and tobogan style fun it was tough to choose where to start.  An hour was plenty enough time to enjoy the slides a handful of occassions eash and have a little fun milling around in between.  All sledges, inflatable donut rings and mats are provided and there are plenty of staff located at all the slide points to help where needed.

It really was such a fun family afternoon and a great way to get some excercise in too. The sledging slope is perfectly angled for a great fun sledging experience and as its so wide you can even have a go at racing each other to the bottom. The downhill Doughnuts were probably our favorite and with 3 different lanes to slide down (each seemed to have a slight more incline for more speed), again you can race down them with ease and the great fun staff at the top love to set you off with a spin making them even more fun.  The ice slide is a little more adventorous for those of use with aging bones.... Ha ha.  Sliding down laid flat on a mat was definaltley the most exhilerating for me.

The kids also really enjoyed just playing in the snow at the bottom, pulling each other around on the donuts and theres even a small soft play building set where you can build an igloo so even the youngest are kept amused.

The current deal with a free drink included for everyone in the Alpine Lodge is a great way to finish of the day. and the meal deals are great value too. The lovely restaurant has a full glass wall overlooking the snow park and ski slopes and there is also a viewing balcony where if you feel like braving the cold you can venture through the doors into the cold to watch the fun and skiing on the slopes.

Thanks for having us Chill Factore we had a fantastic afternoon and would love to come back again soon!!
