Edifier TWS1 True Wireless Bluetooth 5.0 Ear buds with Touch Control

Wireless headphones are on the rise and leading the way in compact and wireless audio for various applications where traditional headphones prove cumbersome.

The Edifier TWS1 come with a small compact charging battery dock, charge cable (but no USB charger), three sets of different sized ear buds, the headphones themselves and an instruction manual (not that they are complicated to use though). Once you've done an initial charge and then checked the fit, place them in your ears and connect simply though blue tooth and that is all the setup takes and you’re away.

They fitted my ear well and didn't feel awkward or if they would just fallout, they are splash resistant so you can get away with wearing them in the rain too. They are well made but don't look or feel like premium quality, however considering the price the quality is actually superb.

So what can you expect with regards to sound quality, well, for the money I can say at this price they certainly don't disappoint. Loud enough to enjoy, balanced range of sound and adequate bass reproduction. As with most in the ear headphones getting the fit just right does make a difference to sound quality so taking some time to get the fit right at the start makes a world of difference along with practice putting them in.

The battery life is good and they can play for hours and having the dock means you can charge them without plugging into the wall when out and about. The charge time is a little slow and there is no fast charge capability, but this should me that the earphones batteries should have an overall longer life. The charging dock is magnetic and the feel of them being drawn into place is quite satisfying. Pace in the dock and they disconnect and charge, remove them and they switch on and auto connect. With no charge indicator other than the light going out to show fully charged it's a guessing game as to where they are, however again price is the key to remember.

The controls are basic, limited, but adequate enough for people on the fly. Once tap on the ear peace to pause, two to skip forward and three to skip back. They can be a bit finicky when adjusting the earphones or sometimes don't respond, but again for the price I don't expect absolute perfection and sometimes doing the controls twice is not the end of the world.

From a parents point of view I like these as my old headphones had wires that when I got close to my toddler they would pull at and before I knew it would end up broken. On a down note though, anything of this size and shape must also be kept out of reach of small children.

Overall

The headphones feel well made for price, comfortable, long lasting use and a well-balanced sound for most varieties of music reproduction. For the price these are truly remarkable headphones, great for sport activities or chilling in the house without bulky headphones getting in the way. The dock means these are also great for travelling and overnight stays as the dock means you can keep going where no chargers are available. The price and overall experience is what makes these headphones so impressive and a great choice for people who love great products at great prices.
