The UK’s favourite family festival is returning to Weston Park, Shropshire (15 – 18 August 2024) with another incredible theme set to transport festival goers into another moment in time for an unforgettable Camp Bestival weekender. Families can prepare to travel to new dimensions as they head to the fields for four days of incredible family fun. 

After the success of last year’s incredible fancy dress extravaganza, Camp Bestival Shropshire, the stellar sister show to Dorset, is inviting festival goers to decide their own era with its ‘Time Travel’ theme for 2024. Campers can step back in time or jump ahead to the future as they hop aboard their own time travel machine for a fancy-dress festival experience like no other at Weston Park. 

Whether it’s a historical figure from the past or an imagination of how life will look in the future, families are encouraged to get their creative juices flowing to embrace this years’ time defying theme. 

“Since the dawn of time and the Big Bang or however we landed up here on this amazing planet of rock, gas and water we’ve been fascinated by time and history and Josie and I have been so excited about unveiling the sheer amazing breadth of choice of time immemorial… from cavepeople to astronauts, from explorers to Kings and Queens, from inventors to vintage pop stars and just about every single person whos ever been born its a MASSIVE theme …so take your time as a family and think about all those millennia and centuries of characters and get building your place in time!”

Following tradition at Camp Bestival, there will be a mega fancy dress competition on Saturday 17 August where one lucky family will win tickets to Camp Bestival 2025. Camp Bestival Shropshire will welcome another glittering line-up of stars to the fields for 2024 as the full host of incredible acts will be announced in the coming months.  

Across the festival site there will also be a plethora of free activities programmed around the theme. Combining an all-encompassing family festival experience with an action-packed camping holiday, Camp Bestival is the ultimate ‘Festi-holiday’ jam packed with entertainment and cultural delights. The whole family can get lost in theatre, shows, wellbeing workshops, circus spectacles, sideshow commotions, comedy, lashings of incredibly delicious food and drink and the very finest in outdoor living from spacious general camping, Camping Plus and Backstage Camping, through to decadent boutique offerings, campervans, caravans and beyond.

Camp Bestival Shropshire takes place 15 – 18 August 2024 at Weston Park and Camp Bestival Dorset takes place 25 – 28 July 2024 at Lulworth Castle.
